Rennes head coach Franck Haise has put pen to paper over a one-year contract extension with Les Rouge et Noir, the Ligue 1 side has announced. Haise joined Rennes in February as a free agent after being dismissed at INEOS-owned OGC Nice. Habib Beye’s successor in the Roazhon Park dugout successfully steered Rennes towards the European places. The Bretons will compete in the Europa League group stage this season.

Earlier this summer, Rennes Sporting Director Loïc Désiré said that the club was in talks with Haise over a contract extension. An agreement has eventually been reached and Haise is now contracted until June 2028. “It is a source of satisfaction and happiness to work for Stade Rennais—increasingly so each day, as I am pleased with what we are doing and with the response from the players and staff”, Haise says.

Rennes will get their Ligue 1 season underway with a tough away game to back-to-back UEFA Champions League winners PSG.
