Official | Gaël Clichy appointed manager of Kylian Mbappé-owned Caen

National 1 side Stade Malherbe Caen have announced the dismissal of head coach Maxime d’Ornano and his replacement by Gaël Clichy. The former France international full-back was a free agent after resigning from his position as Franec U21 assistant coach.

The former left-back said to L’Equipe in September that he was looking to take the next step in his blossoming managerial career. He has now landed his first senior gig as a head coach with the Kylian Mbappé-owned French club. Caen only sit 10th in the National 1 standings on the back of their relegation into the third-tier.
