Official: Getafe announce midfield signing | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Getafe have this week announced a fresh addition to the club’s first-team ranks in the middle of the park. This comes amid confirmation of Francho Serrano putting pen to paper on terms in Madrid.

Serrano, for his part, is fresh off a fine campaign in Spanish football’s 2nd tier in 2025/26, on the books of Real Zaragoza.

Amid a season to forget all told for Los Maños en route to relegation, the 24-year-old stood tall from his berth in midfield, notching a goal and five assists across 34 league appearances all told.

These exploits culminated in widespread interest in Serrano’s signature, with the Spaniard having long been expected to be on the move before the summer is out.

And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, precisely as much has been confirmed. As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of José Bordalás’ Getafe:

‘Getafe CF and Real Zaragoza have reached an agreement for the transfer of Francho Serrano, who becomes a new Getafe player. The midfielder has signed with our club until June 30, 2029.’
