As reported by Marca, José Campaña has signed for Las Palmas as a free agent until the end of the season, with an option for one more season.
The midfielder joins Los Amarillos after leaving Levante. Although the winter transfer window is now over, the Canaries have continued to search for opportunities to add players to their squad.
Evidently, the club have managed to bring in a player with extensive experience in Primera, who will also add to the depth and quality of the yellow midfield. The serious injury suffered last season at the Estadio de Gran Canaria, for which he had to undergo surgery after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, has made the agreement conditional on a medical examination. Campaña passed this medical examination earlier today.
The midfielder came through the ranks at Sevilla before making his professional debut. He spent two season at the club and during this period he became a double European Under-19 champion.
In the 2013/14 season he made the switch to the Premier League where he joined Crystal Palace. He then went on loan to Nuremberg and signed for Sampdoria after loan spells at Porto and Alcorcón. Levante then acquired his services in the 2016/17 season.
Campaña will be presented to the media tomorrow at the Ciudad Deportiva.
