The Saudi club Al-Fateh has finalized in recent hours the signing of Cameroonian forward Karl Toko Ekambi on a one-year deal, aiming to strengthen their attacking options.

In its official statement, the club declared: “Al-Fateh management has completed the signing of Cameroonian striker Karl Toko Ekambi on a one-year deal to strengthen the first team for the current season.”At 31 years old, Ekambi boasts significant experience in the Saudi league, having played for both Al-Ettifaq and Abha. He has also enjoyed an impressive European career, featuring for Villarreal in Spain and Lyon in France, where he scored numerous goals in both domestic and continental competitions.The statement also emphasized: “This signing is part of the club’s strategy to bolster its attack and bring in experienced players capable of making a difference in the Saudi Pro League.”Ekambi joined Al-Ettifaq in January 2023 and remained there until his contract expired in June 2025, making 41 appearances, scoring 9 goals, and providing 3 assists, according to Transfermarkt.Al-Fateh hopes that this addition will help boost the team’s performances after their 2-1 defeat to Al-Fayha on the opening day of the 2025-2026 season.
