Leo Duarte has joined Istanbul Basaksehir on loan until 2022 with option to buy, both clubs have now officially confirmed.
Duarte arrived from Flamengo last summer and although not much was expected from the centre-back, he had a difficult campaign riddled with injuries.
Di Marzio reported earlier today that the Brazilian had cleared his locker at Milanello and is now in Turkey, with the deal being finalised on the basis of a loan with the option to buy.
Now, Milan have confirmed that they and Istanbul Başakşehir FK have reached an agreement over the loan of Duarte. The player will be joining the Turkish club on loan until June 30 2022, but they do have an option to make the deal a permanent one.
The statement adds: “The Club would like to thank Léo for his professionalism and wishes him the best for his personal and professional future.”
