Olympique de Marseille have announced in an official statement the appointment of Alban Juster as President of the club’s executive board on an interim basis following the likely upcoming departure of Pablo Longoria.
The decision was taken by the club’s Supervisory Board and forms part of a temporary organisational structure while the process to appoint a new permanent President of the Directoire begins. The Executive Board will now consist of Juster, former Inter Milan CEO Alessandro Antonello and Benjamin Arnaud, with the latter newly appointed as a member of the board.
Juster has been at Marseille for eight years, most recently serving as Director General of Finance & Compliance. Arnaud, who has been part of the organisation for seven years, will continue his duties as Secretary General alongside his new position on the Executive Board.
In a statement, Marseille explained that the interim structure has been put in place to “ensure administrative, financial and operational continuity, with the club continuing to pursue its sporting and economic objectives.”
