Olympique de Marseille have appointed Alban Juster interim president of the management board, replacing Pablo Longoria on Saturday evening. Longoria had served as club president for five years.
According to Le Progres, a source familiar with recent talks confirmed that Longoria had resigned from his role.
Juster, 36, has been at OM for eight years and was previously director general for finance and compliance.
10 days ago owner Frank McCourt announced a top-level reorganisation. Director of football Medhi Benatia, who had offered his resignation days earlier, agreed to remain until June to lead sporting operations.
That decision coincided with Longoria stepping back, with his remit set to shift towards institutional duties to maintain OM’s representation in French and European bodies, though his exit already appeared inevitable.
Juster’s appointment forms part of an interim structure while the club searches for a new president of the management board. The board now comprises Juster, chief executive Alessandro Antonello and general secretary Benjamin Arnaud.
Juster previously covered for Longoria within official bodies during the latter’s suspension last season.
