Wolfsburg centre-back Maxence Lacroix (24) has joined Crystal Palace, both clubs have announced. The Eagles reportedly reached an agreement worth €20m with the Bundesliga for the signing of the former France U20 international. Lacroix was entering his final contract year with Wolfsburg and had reportedly informed the Bundesliga side he would entertain a new challenge.

Lacroix will therefore reunite at Selhurst Park with former Wolfsburg manager Oliver Glasner. The Austrian head coach was at the helm at the Volkswagen Arena when Lacroix was signed from FC Sochaux four years ago in a €5m move. Lacroix will wear the #5 jersey and has put pen to paper over a five-year deal with the Eagles.
