Mohamed Bayo (28) has left Lille OSC to join Turkish Super Lig side Samsunspor on a permanent deal, it was announced by the Ligue 1 club on Saturday.

Bayo joined Lille from Clermont Foot back in 2022, but he never succeeded in establishing himself at the club. He would play just 47 times for the club, scoring seven goals. In that time, he would spend a significant period out on loan to various clubs. He first went to Le Havre AC, but only netted five for the Normand club. That was followed by successive loans abroad, firstly to Royal Antwerp and then to Gaziantep FK. With the former, he scored just once, but with the latter, in Turkiye, he scored 15 goals in 32 matches.
