Official | Montpellier sign Lyon striker Enzo Molebe on loan

Montpellier HSC have secured the loan signing of Lyon prospect Enzo Molebe (18), both clubs have announced. The France U19 international striker will spend the remainder of campaign on loan with the Ligue 2 side. Molebe’s loan move includes no option to buy. Montpellier were in the market for a striker following Nice’s cancellation of Victor Orakpo’s loan move to Les Pailladins. Molebe will wear the No. 14 jersey with the Ligue 2 side.

Although he recently renewed with OL until 2029, Molebe was deprived of playing time in Lyon given the senior options ahead of him within Paulo Fonseca’s squad. The arrival of Roman Yaremchuk only weakened Molebe’s status in Lyon. Montpellier are ninth in the Ligue 2 standings. They will face Nice on Wednesday for the Coupe de France RO16.
