Moroccan striker Munir El Haddadi is giving his career a fresh boost. This summer, he signed a two-year contract with Esteghlal Tehran, one of Iran’s most prestigious clubs. He joins as a free agent, having left Leganés in Spain.

The announcement of the transfer was made on the club’s official channels. Esteghlal is one of the most decorated and respected sides in the country.In Spain, El Haddadi wore the colors of top clubs such as FC Barcelona, Valencia CF, Sevilla FC, Getafe, Deportivo Alavés, and Las Palmas before joining Leganés. He has racked up 267 La Liga appearances, scoring 47 goals and providing 21 assists.On the international stage, he has represented both Spain and Morocco on 11 occasions, netting two goals. With his performances having dipped in recent years, he has opted to pursue a new challenge outside of Spain.With this transfer, Munir El Haddadi embarks on a new phase of his career, determined to recapture his spark and make his mark in the Iranian league with Esteghlal Tehran.
