FC Nantes have completed the signing of Ibrahima Sissoko (28). He becomes Les Canaris’ second signing this month, following the arrival of Rémy Cabella. 

The midfielder arrives for an undisclosed fee; reports suggest the deal with Bochum is worth around €2m. An agreement was almost reached at the end of December but there was a holdup in the deal, due to the player being away on international duty. However, the former RC Strasbourg Alsace (2018-2024) midfielder is now all set to complete his move back to France.

His arrival in the Loire region is now confirmed. The club announced on Tuesday morning that the Mali international, who has just returned from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), has signed a deal that runs until the summer of 2028. 

Sissoko brings Ligue 1 experience, which may prove valuable as the club look to once again get themselves out of relegation trouble in the second half of the season.
