Official: Parma purchase Romero from Tigre for €7m plus bonus | OneFootball

Parma have officially purchased Argentinean striker David Romero from Tigre, in a deal believed to be worth €7m plus add-ons.

The agreement had been reached over the last few days and the centre-forward had also been linked with teams including Cagliari, Sevilla, Boca Juniors, Palmeiras, Flamengo and the San Jose Earthquakes.

Multiple sources in both Italy and Argentina put the cost of the operation at circa €7m plus a further €3m in performance-related bonuses.

Romero flew in yesterday for his medical tests and today put pen to paper on a contract with Parma until June 2031.

A product of the Talleres youth academy, Romero joined Tigre initially on loan in 2025, making the move permanent in January 2026 for €2.15m.

This season, Romero has scored 11 goals in 19 games, along with two assists for his teammates.

He is effectively the replacement for Mateo Pellegrino, as his fellow Argentine officially completed the transfer to Fiorentina last night for €24.5m.
