Lens have confirmed that Óscar Cortés (20) has joined Scottish Premier League side Rangers on loan until the end of the season via their official social media channels. The deal to sign the Colombian youth international also includes an option to buy.
Cortés has struggled to stamp his mark since making the move to Northern France from his homeland of Colombia. The 20-year-old had made 4 appearances for Les Sang et Or in Ligue 1, scoring 1 goal and registering an assist. Despite making 4 appearances, Cortés has only featured in 40 minutes of competitve action. The Colombian forward signed for Lens from Millonarios in 2023.
Speaking after finalising his move to Rangers, the forward said, “I am very honoured and privileged to be signing for Rangers. I have heard a lot about the history and tradition of Rangers, and I have had positive conversations with the manager who said I can help the team reach their goals this season.” Cortés will wear the number 16 at the Ibrox.
