Thiago Pitarch has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of Alvaro Arbeloa’s stint so far as Real Madrid first-team manager.

The 18-year-old midfield prospect has established himself as a regular in the first-team lineup over the past month, leading to a drastic rise in his market value.

Moreover, there has been a battle brewing between the Spanish and Moroccan national teams for the youngster’s allegiance.

Spain, though, have shown their commitment towards nurturing the youngster by naming him in the squad for the U-19 national team.

The Spanish U-19 team will be involved in the ‘Elite Round’ mini-tournament for a spot in the summer’s European Championship for the age group.

And, Thiago Pitarch happens to be one of five Real Madrid players named in the Spain U-19 squad as they go up against Slovenia, Finland, and the Netherlands.

Apart from Thiago, manager Paco Gallardo has also called up Diego Aguado, Dani Yanez, and Mario Rivas, all of whom were called up to the first team recently. Jesus Fortea also features on the list.

It will be interesting to see how much of a role any of them will play in the matches against Slovenia, Finland, and the Netherlands.
