Betway Premiership side Richards Bay have announced the re-signing of winger Sanele Barns from Stellenbosch FC.
The 28-year-old attacker left the KwaZulu-Natal outfit to join Stellies in July 2024 under Steve Barker, who left the club for Tanzanian giants Simba SC last month.
Stellenbosch appointed Gavin Hunt as Barker's successor, and the veteran tactician has been building his own squad in a bid to steer clear of the relegation zone.
Thus, Barns was deemed surplus to requirements in the Cape Winelands, paving a return to familiar surroundings in Richards Bay.
During his time with Stellies, he racked up 68 appearances, and chipped in with seven goals including six assists across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Barns scored 10 goals and laid 11 assists in 62 matches in his first spell with the Natal RichBoyz.
Richards Bay sit ninth on the log standings, having picked up 18 points in 15 league outings, as they aim for back-to-back top half finishes.
