FC Nantes have announced the arrivals on loan of two attacking players: Sheffield United winger Bénie Traoré (21) and Olympique Lyonnais centre-forward Tino Kadewere (27). Les Canaris desperately needed attacking reinforcements for the second half of the season with Ignatius Ganato suffering from an ACL injury. Besides, Egypt international forward Mostafa Mohamed, as well as Nigeria winger Moses Simon, have both been called up to take part in the upcoming AFCON.
Traoré joined Sheffield United from BK Häcken in the summer, having impressed with the Swedish side. However, he failed to make an impression so far at Bramall Lane, having only played 66 minutes with the Blades. “I’m really happy to be here”, said Traoré. “Wearing this jersey and discovering Ligue 1 is a challenge for me. I can’t wait to start in my new colors and show my qualities to help the team.” Traoré will wear the #77 jersey for Jocelyn Gourvennec’s team.
FC Nantes also announced the loan signing of Lyon’s Kadewere for a six-month spell. Like Traoré’s, Kadewere’s loan signing includes a permanent option. The former Le Havre striker is committed to Lyon with a contract set to expire in 2025. “I am proud and really happy to be in Nantes”, added Nantes’ newest #15. “It’s a new year, a new challenge and we are going to attack it with great ambitions. The idea is to give everything to help the team. I would like to thank the Club for their faith in me.”
