The transfer window in France may have closed, however, there are further outgoings at Montpellier HSC.

The window slammed shut in France on Monday, however, on Tuesday, Montpellier lost another player in the form of Tanguy Coulibaly (24). The French winger was one of the players touted for a departure throughout the window, following La Paillade’s relegation to Ligue 2.

The Frenchman joined MHSC back in December 2023, following the expiry of his contract at VfB Stuttgart. The Paris Saint-Germain academy product went on to play 48 games for Montpellier, scoring five goals and registering one assist.

Three of those goals came last season as Montpellier made the drop, leading to a swathe of departures. Coulibaly has now left, too, joining Samsunspor in Turkey, as confirmed by the clubs. Mohamed Toubache-Ter understands that the deal taking the winger to Turkey is worth €600,000. The player has signed a three-year contract.
