Le Havre AC have officially announced the termination of Thomas Delaine’s contract by mutual consent.

As first reported earlier this week by L’Équipe, the 33-year-old defender will not see out the season with the Normandy club. Delaine, who joined Le Havre AC on a free transfer last summer, had been under contract until 2027.

The former Strasbourg player made six appearances across all competitions for Le Havre, starting three matches. However, his spell at the club proved short-lived, with both parties agreeing to part ways midway through the campaign.

Le Havre currently sit 13th in Ligue 1,  as the club look to secure their top-flight status once again under Didier Digard. The club spent a grand total of €0 on transfer fees over the summer. GFFN | George Boxall
