Royal Charleroi Sporting Club have announced the signing of Yassine Khalifi (19) from Lille OSC on a permanent transfer. The Moroccan youth international has signed a contract that will keep him with the Belgian side until 2027.

Khalifi joined Lille in 2023 from the Mohamed VI Football Academy with a significant reputation behind him as a highly talented prospect. However, he was unable to force his way into the club’s first team and will leave without making an appearance. The midfielder instead spent his time with Les Dogues developing in the youth teams.

The teenager had already made his professional debut in Morocco before arriving in France, when he was sent out on loan from his formative club to Union de Touarga in 2023. And he will now look to build on his experience from two years ago, with Charleroi announcing that he will join the club’s first-team pre-season training camp.
