According to L'Équipe, Lille have accepted a €100m offer from Manchester City for 18-year-old Morocco international midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, a fee that will make him the biggest sale abroad in Ligue 1 history. It capped a Sunday that altered his trajectory.

Earlier that afternoon at Angers' Stade Raymond-Kopa, he paced the corridor towards the pitch, calm but clearly itching to be involved.

Despite travelling with Lille to Anjou, Bouaddi did not play.

He was not even listed on the team sheet.

The game in Angers finished 0-2.
