Terem Moffi and Jérémie Boga want to leave OGC Nice after Sunday night’s fan ambush at the club’s training ground.

Earlier in the day, Nice lost 3-1 away to FC Lorient. Upon their return at around 11:00, around 400 fans were waiting for them. Moffi and Boga were both targeted due to recent incidents. The former was shown laughing with Lorient president Loic Fery on Ligue 1 Plus after the defeat, Le Gym’s sixth in a row in all competitions. The latter invited Olympique de Marseille fans to the Allianz Riviera the weekend prior, during the 5-1 loss to their local rivals. He has since apologised.

The pair were hit, kicked, and spat at, according to reports. As per RMC Sport, the pair have gone on sick leave. Moffi’s will last until Sunday (meaning that he will miss the game against SCO Angers), and Boga’s will last five days.

In any case, the pair do not wish to play for Nice again. They are now actively looking to leave the club, Nice-Matin and RMC Sport understand. L’Équipe add that Moffi and Boga are also pressing charges against the perpetrators of the violence.
