OL Lyonnes’ reserves are targeting the leading positions in D3, with their opener on Sunday, and will also enter the new Challenge des Espoirs, Le Progres reports.
For a glimpse of tomorrow’s professionals, the reserve side is the place to look. Seven Lyon players stepped up at the end of last season.
Among them, Romane Rafalski and Ambre Ouazar signed with their formative club, while Charline Coutel (Nuremberg), Lou Marchal (Lens), Emilie Mece (Juventus), Lorna Chicha-Douvier (Saint-Étienne) and Sarah Rougeron (Thonon) moved on.
Despite those exits, the squad remains deep, strengthened by two significant arrivals.
Competition for places is strong within a balanced group as the new campaign begins.
