OL Lyonnes to wait until February to defend their title

OL Lyonnes will begin their title defence in the Coupe de la Ligue at the quarter-finals on 17 February 2027.

According to Le Progres, the second edition of the Coupe LFFP starts on Saturday, using a format modelled on the new European competitions.

OL Lyonnes won the trophy last season in Abidjan.

Exempt from the opening phase, they will enter the competition directly in the last eight.

The LFFP created the tournament to add fixtures for clubs not in Europe and to encourage rivalry between the two professional women's divisions.
