Christiane Endler will miss Sunday’s PSG clash at the Parc des Princes, matchday 14 of the Première Ligue, as stitches above her left eye rule her out, according to Le Progres.
The Chile international is otherwise well and is resting to recover. She did not train with the group on Saturday.
The stitches were put in after a collision with a Marseille player in last weekend’s Coupe de France tie, and the club were surprised no yellow card was shown following her early withdrawal.
Head coach Jonatan Giráldez said the reaction was strong and rest is best so she can be available in the coming weeks, and he does not yet know exactly when she might return. He added the rest of his squad are available for the group travelling to Paris by train on Saturday afternoon.
Teagan Micah replaced Endler in the 19th minute against OM, then conceded her first goal for Lyon, which was also OL Lyonnes’ first conceded in 945 minutes. She will now start two matches in a row for the first time since arriving from Liverpool.
