OL - Sparta Prague crowd could top 50,000 | OneFootball

OL return to Groupama Stadium on Tuesday for the Champions League third qualifying round second leg against Sparta Prague, with attention on whether attendance can clear 50,000 at 21:00.

According to Le Progres, the ground has been filling despite the holiday period and intense heat, with supporters set to reunite for the season’s first home date after last season ended with a 0-4 defeat to Lens, when the attendance record was close to falling.

It will not be a sell-out, but sales are rising and the noise should be notable. Helped by OL’s proactive pricing, with seats at €10 for the general public and still available from €19, more than 47,000 tickets have been sold.

The remaining hours will show whether enough late buyers can push the crowd beyond the 50,000 mark.

Hitting that figure would be a success in the 15 August holiday week, when the Lyon metropolitan area is at its quietest.
