Michael Olise has reportedly told France teammates he wants to join Real Madrid. Bayern Munich are intent on keeping him, and Lothar Matthaüs expects the winger to stay.

Bild reports that Olise informed colleagues in the French national team of his desire to join Real Madrid.

In his Sport Bild column, Matthaüs says he believes the 24-year-old will remain in Munich this season, adding Bayern would not entertain talks and would laugh off the headlines.

The reigning Bundesliga champions want to extend his contract as soon as possible and are prepared to offer more than €25 million gross per year, which would make him one of their top earners.

As things stand, Olise is not expected to force a move. He is considered content at the club and not a troublemaker.
