Oliver Glasner will not be reuniting with Daichi Kamada at Nottingham Forest, with Crystal Palace confirming the 29-year-old has signed a new one-year contract.
Glasner previously worked with Kamada at Eintracht Frankfurt and at Palace, and is a long-time admirer. Nottingham Post reports that Kamada was viewed as an ideal signing for Glasner at the City Ground after Elliot Anderson’s move to Manchester City.
The midfielder had been a free agent after his Palace deal expired this summer, but he has chosen to extend his stay in South London.
Palace’s decision closes the door on any reunion for Glasner and Kamada at Forest.
Kamada will spend the upcoming campaign at Selhurst Park.
