According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, Oliver Skipp will serve a three-match suspension after his straight red.

The Leicester City midfielder was dismissed by referee Ben Toner in the 29th minute for a high foot on defender Curtis Tilt on the halfway line in the home defeat to Burton Albion. Leicester were already 2-0 down, and although Wes Burns pulled one back before the break, they could not find an equaliser.

It was classed as serious foul play. In the EFL, suspensions vary from one match to six in the most extreme cases.

Red cards are not competition specific, so his suspension begins in midweek against Ipswich Town in the Carabao Cup. He will also sit out League One fixtures with MK Dons and Plymouth Argyle.

Hamza Choudhury replaced Skipp after the dismissal and could be in contention for the number six role. Sammy Braybrooke is another option, while Under-21s midfielder Tommy Neale could also be considered after impressing in pre-season and being liked by Russell Martin.
