According to L'Équipe, LOSC No 9 Olivier Giroud has recovered from a left-knee scare and should start on Sunday.

On 15 August, in the 1-1 draw with Everton, the striker took a blow to his left knee in a collision with Iliman Ndiaye, the former Marseille forward. He stayed down in pain, tried to continue for eight minutes, then came off.

The club feared the worst at the time, but the news quickly improved. On Friday, coach Davide Ancelotti said the checks were reassuring, Giroud began the week with individual work before rejoining group training, and he is available.
