Ollie Watkins set to complete move to Saudi Arabia

Ollie Watkins is close to completing a move to the Saudi Pro League with the striker said to be on-route to his new club.

The Aston Villa striker is close to leaving his club and join Al-Hilal for a reported £50 million, a fee that could rise by a further £1.7 million with add-ons.

The 30-year-old first joined Aston Villa from Brentford for what was a club-record fee of £28 million in September 2002. That proved to be money well spent for the club with the striker going to feature 278 times for the club, scoring 108 goals and making 45 assists.

Watkins was also named Villa's Player of the Season for his outstanding 2023/24 campaign and helped his side lift the Europa League last season.
