Olympiacos have submitted an €8 MILLION offer for Junior Kadile — the winger search now has another concrete transaction | OneFootball

Until now the winger search appeared relatively straightforward. Olympiacos wanted a starting left winger.

Rubén Vargas became the major target. Sevilla negotiations advanced. Then Krasnodar reopened talks for Gelson Martins. And now Olympiacos have reportedly put €8m on the table for Junior Kadile. That combination suggests the club may be preparing for more than one scenario.

Kadile fits the vacancy much more naturally than some of the secondary names

Kadile is a right-footed player whose primary role is on the left wing. That is significant. Ilan Kebbal, for example, is attractive creatively but naturally gravitates toward the right or central areas. Kadile directly addresses the flank Olympiacos have been prioritizing. He can receive outside and attack inward onto his stronger foot, creating the type of movement that could pair naturally with Nair Tiknizyan overlapping from left-back.

His Swiss production explains why €8m is being discussed

Kadile’s impact after joining Servette was immediate. Opta-derived career data records six goals and 10 assists in only 13 league appearances and roughly 1,100 minutes. That level of final-third productivity is difficult to ignore. The individual match record also shows that it was not built from one anomalous performance: he produced goals or assists repeatedly against Zürich, Grasshopper, Luzern, Young Boys and Winterthur.

For Olympiacos, the attraction is obvious.

This is a winger whose recent output contains actual end product rather than merely attractive dribbling numbers.

Kadile represents a different investment from Vargas

Vargas is 28. Kadile is 23. That five-year age difference changes the transfer thesis. Vargas would be purchased principally to improve the starting XI now. Kadile can potentially do that while still retaining significant developmental and resale value. At €8m, Olympiacos could acquire a player before his prime rather than buying the finished version at €14–15m. That does not automatically make Kadile better value.

The Swiss league is a different proving ground from La Liga and international football. But the economic logic is considerably different.

The risk is whether Swiss production translates immediately

This is the central scouting question. Six goals and 10 assists in 13 games is outstanding. It does not mean Kadile will generate anything close to that rate in the Europa League. Olympiacos would be moving him into:

greater domestic expectations;

more compact defensive blocks;

European matches;

and an environment where every poor performance creates scrutiny.

The €8m bid indicates the scouting department believes enough of his production is transferable.

That projection remains untested.

Servette have very little reason to sell cheaply

This point is important. Servette only recently exercised the purchase option that converted Kadile’s loan into a permanent deal through 2029. A local Servette analysis published before that decision described the option at around CHF1m and anticipated that strong foreign offers could arrive after his explosive spring.

If those figures are broadly accurate, an €8m Olympiacos bid would represent enormous asset appreciation for Servette in only a few months. That makes the proposal financially interesting even if the player is sportingly important.

The Gelson situation could be the reason Olympiacos are running multiple winger files

Nikolakopoulos explicitly says Olympiacos are talking with at least two players for each position partly because an existing winger could depart, citing Krasnodar’s renewed interest in Gelson. That is an important clue. Kadile may not simply be the fallback if Vargas fails.

One scenario could theoretically be:

Vargas arrives for the left.

Gelson leaves.

Kadile becomes another wide option capable of adding pace, output and younger legs.

There is no report confirming Olympiacos intend to sign both, so that remains roster analysis rather than sourced transfer planning. But the simultaneous activity makes more sense if the club is protecting against an outgoing transfer.

An €8m formal offer also tells us Kadile is not merely scouting-list depth

This is perhaps the most important takeaway. Olympiacos have been linked with many wingers. Most never advance beyond interest. An €8m proposal is different. The club has assigned a real valuation and attempted to transact. That puts Kadile firmly into the serious-target tier alongside Vargas.
