Le Progres reports that Olympique Lyonnais have set out their medical structure, with Lyonnais doctor Yann Fournier appointed to lead the club’s medical activities. Already working with the first team while seconded from the Centre Orthopédique Paul Santy, he will continue under that arrangement.

Fournier’s previous posts include club doctor at LOU from 2003 to 2013, OL’s women from 2013 to 2016, and France’s women from 2016 to 2017, before joining OL’s men in November 2017.

A former footballer developed at OL in the 1990s, from the same intake as Ludovic Giuly, Fournier now steps into this new role.

He will be assisted by Dr Emmanuel Dielemans, formerly of Le Havre.

Lyonnais Antonin Da Fonseca, previously at Lille, becomes director of performance.

Nutritionist Pierre Mastin arrives from OGC Nice, replacing Isabelle Mischier.
