Speaking to the press this Tuesday, Roberto De Zerbi once again raved about Gabonese striker Aubameyang.
Ahead of tomorrow's Ligue 1 clash against Angers, Roberto De Zerbi addressed the media on Tuesday. The Italian coach once again shared his thoughts on his forward, Aubameyang. The former Arsenal Gunners striker continues to win over his manager. The latter doesn't see the Gabonese player calling time on his career anytime soon.
"He can keep going for many more years because I see how he trains. He's a complete player—he knows how to deliver assists and play without the ball as well. I played with his brother, who was a positive guy, and he's exactly the same. He enjoys playing, he understands rotation. This is a very important transfer for us. Gouiri's absence is a big blow, but we shouldn't focus on who's missing, but on those who are here," declared De Zerbi.
Meanwhile, Auba himself revealed the secret behind his quick recovery: "When you're not 20 anymore, your body takes longer to recover. The advantage in 2025 is that there are more tools to speed up recovery (...) Before, I had less trouble accelerating over the first few meters. Now, it's a bit tougher. But I compensate and keep working." <
