According to L'Équipe, PSG youth recruiter Omar Allel is expected to join neighbours Paris FC in the coming weeks.
Allel arrived at PSG just under 10 years ago and had been tipped to replace Pierre Reynaud as head of recruitment. His prospective exit comes after several players from the 2007 and 2008 age groups left this summer.
The recruitment unit that oversaw most signings for the youth teams who won last season's national U17 and U19 titles and the Coupe Gambardella has been largely dismantled. Dominique Flamant was not retained, Paulo Gonçalves has been on sick leave for several months, and Allel is leaving after a period of absence.
Pierre Reynaud has returned after more than six months on sick leave and is no longer under the authority of academy sporting director Yohan Cabaye, with whom relations are deplorable. Could Reynaud also depart?
Approached recently by Paris FC, he is now being courted by AS Monaco. Well liked by parents of young Parisian players, his exit would mark the end of an era at the club. In response, PSG have hired two scouts, Sigamary Diarra, formerly of Valenciennes, and Thierno Diarra from Amiens.
