The wait is almost over. Inter Women are preparing to make their historic debut in the UEFA Women’s Champions League League Phase — a major milestone and the start of an exciting new chapter. David Sassarini’s side will begin their campaign against BK Häcken FF at the Stadio Brianteo in Monza on Tuesday 22 September at 18:45.

BACK INTER WOMEN AND GET EARLY ACCESS TO DERBY TICKETS AT SAN SIRO

Fans who purchase a ticket for Inter v BK Häcken FF and attend the match will be eligible for a dedicated sales window for the Men’s First Team Derby against AC Milan at San Siro, scheduled for the weekend of 14 February 2027 (date and kick-off time TBC).

Inter took to the pitch at the Brianteo on Monday as Sassarini’s side familiarised themselves with the venue ahead of their European debut. The Nerazzurre trained at the Monza stadium in the morning, fine-tuning the final details before facing Häcken.

THE OPPOSITION: BK HÄCKEN FF

Based in Gothenburg, Häcken are one of the leading names in Swedish women’s football. The Giallonere have won two league titles, four Swedish Cups and one national Super Cup, while last season they also lifted the inaugural UEFA Women’s Europa Cup, the second-tier European club competition in the women’s game.

The 2025 season proved particularly memorable, as Häcken combined their European success with victory in the Swedish league. The Damallsvenskan, Sweden’s top women’s division, runs from March to November and, after 19 matches, Häcken lead the standings on 52 points, five clear of second-placed Hammarby, whom they defeated in last season’s Women’s Europa Cup final.

The team are coached by Elena Sadiku, a former player born in 1993 who took charge in December 2025.

Inter and Häcken have met twice before, in the round of 16 of the 2025/26 Women’s Europa Cup. Häcken won the first leg 1-0 in Gothenburg courtesy of an unfortunate Runarsdottir own goal, before the return in Milano ended 0-0, bringing the Nerazzurre’s European campaign to an end.
