As part of OneFootball's collaboration series with Shoot Music we're interviewing an artist every week about their love of football.
This week it's Leeds fan and front man of Apollo Junction, Jamie Williamson.
When did you start supporting Leeds and why?
I have supported them since 1992 when, as a little boy, my uncle took me to the league trophy parade and I caught Lee Chapman's hat! Then, my first game was a 3-3 draw with Blackburn Rovers the season after. Alan Shearer got a hat-trick!
How impressed have you been with Leeds' start to the Premier League season
Very. It's been a totally different approach to what I was expecting, we look hard to play against.
Where does Daniel Farke rank in the list of the great modern-day Leeds managers?
Very highly for me. You have to consider what state the club was in when he took over the club. I think he has huge potential and I hope he stays with us for a long time.
Be honest: was a part of you a little disappointed not to stay in the Championship last season as opposed to going up and being in relegation battle this time around
Being honest I do prefer the Championship. No VAR, proper old school football and it's highly entertaining. But this time round I want to stay in the Premier League. This one club city need to grow and prove they belong with some of the best in Europe.
Can you tell us about your new record 'What In The World’?
Our 4th album has become number 1 in the independent album charts and we're really proud of it. We wanted to create an album where every track is anthemic britpop and I think we've achieved that.
Apollo Junction's new album, 'What In The World', is out now.
