Only Hugo Duro has more goals than Yarek Gasiorowski this season

Yarek Gasiorowski has started impressively at PSV, scoring three Eredivisie goals, a tally bettered in Valencia’s current squad only by Hugo Duro.

Superdeporte reports that he left Valencia last summer for around 9.8 million euros. PSV, leaders of the Eredivisie, have lost one league match and drawn one so far.

The 191-centimetre centre-back is comfortable on the ball, can fill in at left-back and is dominant in the air, traits seen with Spain’s youth sides. He did not score for Valencia’s first team. Within PSV, only one forward currently has more league goals than him.

He marked his debut with a goal and an assist in the 6-1 win over Sparta. A few rounds later he scored against Ajax in a 2-2 draw.

His third league strike arrived in the 5-1 victory over Excelsior on the last matchday, two days before his 21st birthday.
