Raphinha was the first Blaugrana player to secure a place in the knock-out rounds of the competition, as his Brazil side qualified after the two wins and a draw in the group stage. However, with him currently injured, it remains to be seen whether he would be available for Carlo Ancelotti for the Round of 32 clash.

Similarly, Frenkie de Jong and Jules Kounde also topped their respective groups, as did the contingent with the Spanish national team, comprising of up to 8 Barcelona players, including Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Gavi, Dani Olmo, Pau Cubarsí, Ferran Torres, Joan Garcia, and Eric Garcia. The Spaniards topped their group after beating Araujo’s Uruguay side 1-0 last night.

Lastly, the new young signing Hamza Abdelkarim would also remain with his Egyptian national team in the World Cup, and hopefully, also get to play some minutes in knock-out games as well.

The new signing Anthony Gordon, and Marcus Rashford, who is still a Barcelona player till 30th June, have also made it to the next round with the English national team, as has Joao Cancelo with the Portuguese national team. However, both of these sides still have a match remaining in the group stage, and need still need to fight for the first place in their groups.
