Leeds United’s 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest has given Daniel Farke’s side a major survival lift, with a fresh Opta projection also making a strong call on the Whites.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Farke’s team began Friday night fifth-bottom, level with Forest and six points clear of the relegation zone, then seized their chance.
The result leaves Leeds nine clear of third-bottom West Ham and three ahead of Forest with the same number of games played. West Ham visit second-bottom Burnley on Saturday in their game in hand.
Despite staying 16th, Leeds are now on 29 points alongside Tottenham and Crystal Palace, although both have played one fewer.
Opta’s latest predicted final table and points list Arsenal first on 82, Manchester City second on 71, and Aston Villa third on 71.
Liverpool are forecast fourth on 63, Chelsea fifth on 63, and Manchester United sixth on 62.
