After being on loan the last season and a half with Orlando City, the Lions have permanently signed winger Ivan Angulo through the 2025 MLS season (with an option for the 2026 season). The 24 year old attacker won the 2022 U.S. Open Cup with Orlando City two seasons ago. During his time with Orlando so far he has played in 54 games, scored 6 goals, and 8 assists.
Angulo has only grown in his roughly 18 months as an Orlando City member. He seems like the perfect kind of player to help bolster any MLS roster, being versatile and really fitting into Oscar Pareja’s system well. Angulo has really been impressive in his defensive abilities on the wing for Orlando as well, especially during his 2023 campaign. Ivan Angulo is joining the Orlando winger core of Facundo Torres, Martin Ojeda, Gaston Gonzalez, and Shak Mohammed. Along with depth at striker, Orlando City have a strong offensive core heading into the 2024 MLS season.
