La Liga outfit Osasuna have this evening revealed that the club have been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.
This comes by way of confirmation that José Arnaiz is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.
Arnaiz, for his part, has played an important role in Jagoba Arrasate’s squad this season, since linking back up with Osasuna upon the conclusion of his contract with Leganés last summer.
All told, the 28-year-old has featured in 18 of Los Rojillos’ 23 league outings, chipping in with a goal and an assist along the way.
This past week whilst training, however, Arnaiz suffered a hamstring injury.
And the problem has proven significant enough to rule him out of Osasuna’s upcoming La Liga meeting with Real Sociedad.
As per an official statement across the club’s website and social media platforms:
‘Forward Jose Arnaiz has undergone medical tests at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, which confirmed he has a myofibrillar injury in the biceps femoris of his right hamstring. The player suffered the injury during last Wednesday’s training session. He will not be available for tomorrow’s match against Real Sociedad and is pending evolution.’
