The ongoing La Liga season is set to reach its conclusion soon, and FC Barcelona absolutely do not want to delay a potential league title any longer. For that reason, their upcoming game against CA Osasuna will be a crucial one for the Catalan giants.
Currently holding an eleven point league at the top of the table, a win here would take them 14 points clear and put all the pressure on Real Madrid. Moreover, with the next game being El Clasico, Barça will want to put one hand on the title in this particular game to avoid any complications.

Despite being away from home, the Catalan giants know that they have the quality and technical sense to win against Osasuna. They have done it in the past, and they know what it takes to get a positive result at the opponent’s stadium.
However, every side in La Liga knows fully well that games against Osasuna, especially away from home, are never straightforward. In fact, it has been quite a while since Alessio Lisci’s side have suffered a defeat at home this season.
Currently sitting in ninth place on the La Liga table, Osasuna are not exactly too bothered about their placement by the end of the season it seems. However, at least mathematically speaking, a potential charge for a UEFA Conference League or even Europa League placement does not look impossible.
As for their form, they currently have two wins, two draws, and one loss across their last five games. Hardly a perfect record, but it goes to show that they are not that easy to beat either, especially at their own home ground.
In terms of the goal difference, they have scored six goals across their last five games and have conceded five goals in return. Despite being a positive difference, it shows that they tend to not score a lot of goals but it is difficult to put goals past them as well.
Barcelona, on the other hand, have been dominant in La Liga recently. Having won their last nine league games, the Catalan giants are determined to win the league title this season. Across their last five games in all competitions, moreover, they have four wins and one loss.
Secondly, the goal difference that they boast is much better than that of Osasuna’s as well. They have scored nine goals across their last five games while having conceded just four goals in exchange.
However, the absence of Lamine Yamal is a big blow for Hansi Flick’s team heading into this game. While it is true that both Raphinha and Marc Bernal are now back in the squad, they are not likely to start and that means that Flick will have to be quite tactical in the way that he sets up his Barcelona side for this game.
