Óskarsson, Yangel y Aramburu rejoin group as Real Sociedad near week one | OneFootball

Real Sociedad completed on Friday the penultimate session of their first pre-season week at Zubieta. Non-World Cup internationals Orri Óskarsson, Jon Mikel Aramburu and Yangel Herrera have been eased back into full training after returning from holiday on Thursday.

According to Diario Vasco, president Jokin Aperribay and director of football Erik Bretos observed from pitchside. They continue to work on shaping the squad for a demanding campaign, with a European return the main draw.

Under Pellegrino Matarazzo, the available players will step up on Saturday in a joint session with France’s Pau FC. The workout will be behind closed doors at Zubieta from 11:00, serving as a first competitive hit-out.

The first friendly open to supporters is slated for Saturday 18 July, when Real Sociedad meet newly promoted Racing de Santander at the club’s facilities.

After Saturday’s run-out against the French side, the squad will round off their opening days of work and take Sunday as their first rest day.
