Corinthians president Osmar Stabile and football executive Marcelo Paz met Conmebol president Alejandro Domínguez at the confederation’s headquarters in Luque, Paraguay, on Thursday.

The club said in a statement that the institutional visit covered the Libertadores, in which Corinthians compete with their men’s and women’s teams.

They also discussed the Neo Química Arena, which will be a venue for the Women’s World Cup in 2027.

Stabile said it was important to maintain a strong institutional relationship with the continental body and that Corinthians would make every effort to do so.

Former Paraguay defender Gamarra, a club idol who won the Brasileiro and Paulista with Corinthians, also attended the meeting.
