Quito to host 2026 Libertadores Feminina, Corinthians seeded in group A | OneFootball

CONMEBOL announced on Monday night that Quito will host the 2026 Libertadores Feminina, with matches scheduled from 15 to 31 October.

Ecuador had already been confirmed as host nation in February, but the city was only confirmed now. Venues for this year’s edition have not been named. Corinthians are in group A as top seeds as reigning champions, and await the draw.

It will be the third time Ecuador stages the tournament, after 2019 and 2022, both played in Quito.

Corinthians have fond memories of Quito from 2019, when they beat Ferroviária 2-0 at Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa to win the title. Gi Crivelari and Juliete scored in the final.

The Timão are the competition’s most decorated side and will chase a seventh continental crown. They won in 2017 in partnership with Audax, and again in 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025, so arrive defending three straight titles.

Last season the tournament was held in Buenos Aires, where Corinthians defeated Deportivo Cali on penalties, 5-3, after a 0-0 draw.

Cruzeiro and Palmeiras will join Corinthians as Brazil’s representatives in 2026. The competition features 16 clubs split into four groups of four, with the top two in each advancing to the quarter-finals.
