Oso’s imminent move to RC Strasbourg is expected to free resources and reshape Sevilla’s wing rotation, with academy winger Miguel Sierra the main beneficiary.
According to El Desmarque, the deal would free around two million euros. That would help fund the striker requested by Luis García Plaza, after which a new left winger becomes the priority.
Until now, Oso and Alfon have largely covered the left, with Chidera Ejuke on the right while the club waited on another addition. Sierra has alternated between the first team and Sevilla Atlético. Oso’s exit would change that hierarchy.
The Granada-born winger impressed Luis García Plaza in pre-season and early in the campaign, emerging as a genuine first-team option. He finished as Sevilla’s top scorer in pre-season. His versatility allows him to operate on the left, though he is likely to feature mainly on the right.
Sierra joined Sevilla in 2024 from Real Avilés Industrial to bolster the reserves and has since made his senior debut. He recently extended his deal to June 2029. The left-footer is noted for direct running and end-product, and can also play as a No 10 or impact substitute.
Even so, Sevilla must still identify the profile to complete the left flank. Oso’s departure creates a clear need that José Ignacio Navarro will address in the final days of the window. The domino effect could hand Sierra more minutes without removing the need to reinforce the attack.
