Chelsea attacker Joao Pedro has given us fans a round of applause moment with his latest comments made this week.
Pedro was speaking after Chelsea only managed a 2-2 draw against minnows Qarabag in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
It was a very bad first half for Chelsea and although they did get better in the second half, captain Reece James has admitted to some things they need to improve on now going forward.
There has been a lot of debate around why Chelsea are so inconsistent this season. Some say it’s down to inexperience across the whole squad, others believe it is because the starting Xl has been so heavily rotated.
To be honest, when looking for answers, I always go to a mix of everything as being the reason. Rotation has to happen because Chelsea barely got a break all summer whilst playing in the Club World Cup, their hands are pretty tied there.
But Pedro has pretty much hit the nail on the head with his reasons for the inconsistencies.

When asked about the difficulties faced in Azerbaijan, Joao Pedro said: “We started well, then we complicated the game. We came here to win and got a draw. We dropped our level of concentration in the game and if you drop, the other team is going to score.
“[We can learn] a lot. We’re playing in the Champions League. If we want to win games, we have to be 100% focused for the whole game.
“We need to learn how to concentrate for the full game because if we start to drop points in the Premier League, it will be tough to be in the Champions League again next year.”
Pedro is known to be struggling for fitness and his manager Enzo Maresca has said the forward is one of the players in his squad who is being managed “game by game”.
The Brazil international added: “They are trying to manage it. I’m OK, I feel good and I want to play every game. I try to always be available. It’s tough but I want to play every game.”
