October was a special few weeks for strikes in the English top flight, but this one from the Villa man has officially topped the lot.

Ruben Amorim has been named the Premier League's Manager of the Month for October.

The Manchester United manager enjoyed a remarkable revival with his side racking up a hat-trick of wins including a first away to Liverpool in almost a decade.

Amorim's side are eighth in the table but just one point off fourth-placed Sunderland ahead of Saturday's trip to Tottenham Hotspur.

United's Bryan Mbeumo has also been named as Player of the Month.

The Cameroon international was in stunning form for the Old Trafford outfit over the past four weeks.

His goals have helped fire Ruben Amorim's side into the eighth place.
